Iran has requested Danish companies to take on a more active role in Iran’s energy projects.

Chitchian further said that developing application of renewable energy resources can be a base for mutual cooperation given the Islamic Republic’s unique capacities in the field of solar and wind energy and Denmark’s capabilities in this regard.

He also referred to application of new technologies in the water and wastewater treatment as another area for cooperation of the two countries’ private sectors.

At the end of the meeting it was announced that the Danish Energy, Utilities and Climate Minister Lilleholt will lead a delegation of the country’s leading companies to Tehran to discuss cooperation fields and boosting bilateral ties in water and electricity sectors.
