TSE main index increases by 456 points

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) experienced a rise by 456 points or 0.6 percent on Sept. 24, to end the first work day of the week at 76,907.4.

More than 654 million shares, valued at about $56.33 million (1.77 trillion rials based on official rate of 31,406 rials per USD), were traded within 56,433 transactions, according to the TSE website.

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co., Iran Khodro and SAIPA were among the companies that imposed the highest positive effect on the TSE index.

Meanwhile, Pardis Petrochemical Company, Mobin Petrochemical Company and Civil Pension Fund Investment Company had the biggest negative impact on the TSE index.

The Price Index gained 162.2 points or 0.6 percent to end at 27,361.6.

The First Market Index inched up 301.5 points or 0.56 percent to post 53,728.5.

The Second Market Index scored 1100.4 points or 0.55 percent to reach 168,894.4.

The Industry Index added 422.2 points or 0.66 percent to hit 63,917.6.
