Central Asian and Persian Gulf countries are seeking Iran-made oil equipment, said Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister for Engineering, Research and Technology Mohammad Reza Moqaddam.
These countries are actually currently buying oil industry equipment made in Iran, he told IRNA news agency Sept. 30.
Iran produces 10 most frequently used categories of oil industry equipment, which comprise about 80 percent of the whole equipment used in the oil industry, he underlined.
Moqaddam said while the exported products mostly belong to the upstream industries, Iran also exports downstream oil equipment.
So far the Oil Ministry has signed 52 contracts with Iranian equipment producers worth 7 trillion rials ($222.5 million), he underlined.
