By Fatih Karimov – Trend:

The amount of gas condensate exported from Iran’s South Pars gas field reached 76 million barrels in the first half of the current fiscal year (March 20-Sept. 21, 2016).

The figure indicates a rise by 25 percent as compared to the same period of preceding year, Masoud Hasani, managing director of the South Pars Gas Complex, said, SHANA news agency reported Oct. 1.

He further said more than 1.35 million tons of LPG was exported from South Pars as well during the six-month period, which was 6 percent higher than the export volume of the same period last year.

South Pars Gas Complex currently shares 62 percent of the country’s gas output, he added.

During the six-month period, Iran exported $3.496 billion worth of condensate in total, which indicates a 12.85-percent decrease year-to-year.

Iran’s non-oil exports, including condensates reached $21.706 billion during the period, registering a 5.9-percent increase.
