Iran oil products import via Caspian falls by 96%

Iran has imported 2,110 tons of oil products through its northern port of Anzali in September, Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran reported.

Comparing to the same time last year, the figure has dropped by 96 percent.

Iran imported 48,599 tons of oil products through its Caspian Sea ports in Sept 2015, however the figure decreased by 96 percent in Sept. 2016 as no oil product was imported through Amirabad, and Neka ports.

Over 521,644 tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at four Iranian ports in Caspian Sea (Anzali, Noshahr, Astara and Amirabad), indicating a rise by 11 percent year-on-year.

In the mentioned period, 46,982 tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded at the country’s northern ports.

Iran also unloaded 474,663 tons of oil and non-oil products at its ports in The Caspian Sea over the one-month period, indicating a rise by 18.2 percent.
