TSE main index increases by 180 points

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) experienced a rise by 178 points or 0.23 percent on Oct. 1, to end the first work day of the week at 77,478.8.

More than 1,074 million shares, valued at about $66.5 million (2.1 trillion rials based on official rate of 31,459 rials per USD), were traded within 80,153 transactions, according to the TSE website.

Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, SAIPA and Isfahan Oil Refinery Company were among the companies that imposed the highest positive effect on the TSE index.

Meanwhile, Ghadir Investment Company, Bank Pasargad and Machine Sazi Arak Company had the biggest negative impact on the TSE index.

The Price Index gained 63.5 points or 0.23 percent to end at 27,565.1.

The First Market Index inched up 213.4 points or 0.4 percent to post 54,050.2.

The Second Market Index decreased by 129.4 points or 0.08 percent to reach 170,418.6.

The Industry Index added 185.8 points or 0.29 percent to hit 64,554.1.
