Iran Central Bank discloses amount of loans provided over year

Iranian banks have provided their customers with about $73.374 billion in loan over the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20).

The governor of Central Bank of Iran, Valiollah Seif, has said banks paid 2.33 quadrillion rials ($73.374 million according to the official rate on Oct. 24) in loan to their customers in a period of six months between March and September, IRNA news agency reported.

This is while banks paid about $131.317 billion (4.17 quadrillion rials according to official rate on Oct. 24) in loan to the customers over the last Iranian calendar year.

According to the official, banks, so far, have allocated about $3.086 billion (98 trillion rials) in loan to 12,522 small businesses.
