Tehran, Iran, October 26
By Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:
Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum has liberalized foreign exchange rate for oil product payments.
Minister Bijan Zanganeh had just recently ordered the liberalization of exchange rate on 20 products, but now he has included the rest of the products as well, Mehr news agency reported October 26.
Accordingly, the feedstock that is to be sold to petrochemical factories, including naphtha, liquefied gas, pentane, and Linear alkylbenzene will be priced according to the USD price at Iran’s free market (around 36,000 rials) instead of governmental price (around 31,700 rials), practiced so far.
