The volume of Iran’s oil exports to the Europe has hit 700,000 barrels, an official with Iranian oil ministry said.

Director of International Affairs at Oil Ministry of Iran Seyed Mohsen Ghamsari has said that the country on average exported 2.44 million of oil barrels per day over October, Mehr news agency reported.

The official further added that Asian countries are still the largest importers of Iranian oil.

According to the official, Asian countries import 1.74 million barrels of oil per day (bpd) from Iran.

Iran plans to increase its exports of oil and condensate to three million barrels per day by next March.

Under international sanctions, which extended till early 2016, Iran’s oil exports dropped from 2.3 to 1 million barrels a day.

The strong demand in Iran’s crude in Asia and Europe has enabled it to raise its oil output to just over 3.8 million bpd, still below the 4 million bpd level termed by Tehran as a precondition for discussing output limits with other oil producers.
