Iran, Poland eye forming JV on carrying oil products

A polish company has expressed interest in putting joint investment with Iran to develop the Islamic Republic’s oil tanker fleet, National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) said.

Tomasz Grzela, the head of Polish company of Ciech Trading, has said that his company is ready to cooperate with the NITC in various spheres including bunkering operations (business of refueling ships) as well as carrying of petrochemicals and liquid gas, IRNA news agency reported.

At a meeting with the head of NITC, Sirus Kiani Ersi, in Tehran, the polish company proposed to form a joint venture aimed at expansion of cooperation between the two companies.

In turn, Sirus Kiani Ersi also called for expansion of ties between the two companies and said Iran is ready to cooperate with Poland in delivering liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The Iranian official also welcomed the Polish company’s proposal on organizing a joint venture.
