Germany to invest in Iran’s petrochemical complex

Germany’s Linde Group in negotiating investment opportunities with Iran's Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company (BIPC), Reza Amiri, managing director of the BIPC, said.

Linde’s experts discussed investment, technology transfer and participation in BIPC projects during a visit to Iran's Bandar Imam Petrochemical complex, Amiri said, SHANA news agency reported.

The German company has resumed its activities in Iran in various fields, including the petrochemical sector following the removal of international sanctions last January, Amiri added.

He further said that the German company has expressed readiness to participate in the BIPC projects and has submitted its proposals.

Linde Group has recently opened its office in Tehran.

Earlier in August, the German company signed a front-end engineering design (Feed) deal with Iran’s Kian Petrochemical Company for the construction of an olefin, butadiene, hydrodealkylation and benzene unit.
