Iran's gas delivery to power plants up by 9.5%

Iran increased gas deliveries to power plants by 9.5 percent to 47.06 billion cubic meters during eight months of the current fiscal year, started on March 21.

According to the latest weekly report of Iran's Energy Ministry, some 1.128 million liters of gas oil (decreased by 62.2% year-on-year) and 1.661 billion liters of fuel oil (decreased by 60.4% year-on-year) during the mentioned period.

Iran’s power generation capacity also increased by 1.8 gigawatt (GW) to 75.912 GW during eight months of fiscal year. Iran projected to add 1.2 GW to this volume by March 20, 2017.

The country’s electricity generation also reached 207,095 million kilowatt hours during eight months of the current fiscal year.
