Iran’s GDP growth reaches 7.4%

Iran’s GDP growth reached 7.4 percent during the first half of current fiscal year (March 20-Sept. 21), the Iranian Central Bank announced Dec. 17.

The bank has not published the detailed report yet, however the figure indicates an increase by 2 percent compared to the country’s GDP growth in spring.

Earlier IMF said in its World Economic Outlook (WEO) report that Iran’s GDP growth for the current fiscal year, which started on March 21, is expected to reach 4.5 percent, however the economic growth will decrease in 2017 to 4.1 percent. The figure is expected to hit 4.3 percent in 2021.
