Iran exports first gas condensate spot cargo to EU

Iran exported the first 1-million gas condensate spot cargo to Europe, Head of South Pars Gas Complex Masoud Hassani told Shana news agency on Dec.21.

He added that during eight months of current fiscal year, started from March 21, South Pars gas field produced 125 million barrels of gas condensate, about 18.2 million barrels more than the same period last year.

He added that during the mentioned time, about 98 million barrels of gas condensate was exported from South Pars to Asian markets.

Reuters reported on Dec.14 that Iran’s oil exports to Europe look to rise by 10 percent from November to this year's high of 767,000 bpd, topping levels seen prior to the imposition of toughened sanctions in 2012.

Before the sanctions were enforced, Iran was exporting about 2.2 million bpd of crude each month, with Europe taking about 600,000 bpd, according to the International Energy Agency.
