Refineries of Iran’s South Pars gas field produced 109.496 billion cubic meters of natural gas during nine months of the current fiscal year, which meets 63 percent of the country’s total gas demand, the Head of South Pars Gas Complex Masoud Hassani said.

Iran’s fiscal year started on March 21.

According to a report released by the official website of South Pars Gas Complex Dec. 29, Hassani said that the gas output of South Pars increased by 22.7 percent during nine months compared to the same period in last fiscal year.

He added that about 141 million barrels of gas condensate was also produced in South Pars during the mentioned period, which indicates a 16-percent growth year-on-year.
