Iran, EU 10-month trade turnover exceeds 10B euros

Trade turnover between Iran and the EU increased by 66 percent to 10.3 billion euros in January-October 2016 year-on-year, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, reported.

According to the report, Iran’s export to the EU increased from 1 billion euros in 10 months of 2015 to 3.9 billion euros during the same period in 2016, while its import from the EU increased from 5.2 billion euros to 6.4 billion euros.

International and Western sanctions on Iran, including the banking related sanctions were removed in January 2016.
