The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) fell by 175 to hit 79,206, the TSE reported January 21.
For the day, the entire hydrocarbon group witnessed a rise, where shares were traded at their ceiling prices. However, lead and zinc saw huge downfall. In the meantime, construction group saw a small decline as well.
The majority of big brands experienced a high volume of sales for the day. A total of 18.6 trillion rials ($573.6 million) shares were traded. The weight index fell by 47 units to reach 15,515.
In the over the counter (OTC), the main index fell by 2 to reach 842.
