Iran’s oil revenues reach $25B in 6 months

The Islamic Republic has exported $24.81 billion worth of oil and oil products (including crude oil, condensates and natural gas plant liquids-NGPL, petroleum products) as well as natural gas during the first half of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21 - September 22, 2016), according to the latest report of the Central Bank of Iran released on Jan. 24.

The report indicates that the Islamic Republic's average oil and oil product exports have increased by 2.7 percent to 2.063 million barrels per day in the six-month period.

The country’s oil and oil product output stood at 3.639 million barrels per day during the first half of the current fiscal year, 2.7 percent more year-on-year.

According to the report, over the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2016) the country, on average, produced 3.379 million barrels per day, indicating 2.4 percent growth year-on-year.

Meanwhile the country’s oil and oil product exports stood at 1.787 million barrels per day during the last fiscal year, 14.4 percent more year-on-year.
