The volume of Iran’s oil output is almost 3.9 million barrels per day (mb/d) at the moment, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, the country’s oil minister, said.

Iran has no plan to decrease its oil output, Zanganeh said, Mehr news agency reported Jan. 25.

He added that the Islamic Republic’s oil output has already surpassed 3.8 mb/d and is close to 3.9 mb/d currently.

The figure is close to the 4 mb/d level already termed by Tehran as a precondition for discussing output limits with other oil producers.

Zanganeh further said that Iran has no crude oil stored on tankers, adding that there is certain volume of condensate storage which will be sold by March 2017.

Under international sanctions, which extended till early 2016, Iran’s oil exports dropped from 2.3 to 1 million barrels a day.
