Iran and Oman will resume the talks on gas deal on February 7, Mehr News Agency reported.

According to the report, Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi, minister of oil and gas of the Sultanate of Oman, will visit Tehran to finalize the gas deal with Iran.

The deal includes exporting 10 billion cubic meters per year (bcm/y) of Iranian gas to Oman and Tehran’s using the idle capacity of Omani LNG plants to liquefy its gas.

The sides also haven’t finalized the construction of a 200-km undersea pipeline, estimated to cost $1.5 billion.

Iran and Oman signed the gas deal in 2013.
