Tehran, Iran, Feb. 13

By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:

Thirty-nine fuel stations have been privatized in Iran, said CEO of the Privatization Organization Jafar Sobhani.

He said the privatization was conducted through tenders, where 60 stations in 13 provinces were put up, IRNA news agency reported February 13.

Overall 220 proposals were put in place for the 39 stations, meaning there were 5.6 offers for each station, he said.

The base value of these stations was 2 trillion rials ($61.7 million), but the sold value was 35 percent more than that, the official said.
