So fare nine companies have placed their offers in the Iranian Railways Company (RAJA) tender for 250 wagons, an official said, adding the tender is currently the second biggest in Europe.
“We are currently in the document submission stage and hope that by summer a contract is finalized,” said RAJA CEO Mohammad Rajabi told Tasnim news agency February 26.
The wagons will be worth about 11 trillion rials ($340 million), 85 percent of which will be financed by the company that wins the tender, he said.
Rajabi added 20 months after a contracts is signed this summer, the wagons will be delivered to RAJA.
