An Iranian minister has described China’s concerns over the potential snap-back of sanctions on Tehran as the sticking point in the ongoing talks for investment in the electrification of a railroad in the Islamic Republic.

Iranian Minister of Transportation Abbas Akhoundi has expressed hope that the country would ink the deal with China over the coming two weeks, IRNA news agency reported.

Under the terms of the possible deal, China would invest $2 billion in the project for electrifying Tehran-Mashhad railway.
