After the signed agreement between Iran’s Homa airlines and French-Italian ATR aircraft manufacturer on Apr.10, IRNA reported that four of 20 planes would be delivered to Iran in 15 days.

Iran would receive ART72-600 passenger airplane, based on agreement.

Asghar Fakhrieh-Kashan, deputy transport minister of Iran, said that 9 more planes also would be delivered to Iran by the end of 2017 and the remained passengers would arrive in the country in 2018.

Agreement is aimed at boosting the capacity of short-range travels and small passenger planes of the country’s airlines fleet.

Iran plans to equip and modernize its old airlines with purchasing various types of airplanes. Earlier, the Islamic Republic received 3 of 100 ordered passenger aircraft from France’s Airbus, based on an agreement signed last year.

The American aircraft manufacturing company is likely to deliver at least two Boeing 777 to Iran over the next month, Fakhrieh-Kashan told IRNA Apr.9.

Following Iran’s nuclear deal with the word powers, the country’s flag carrier, Iran Air, reached an agreement with Boeing to purchase 80 planes.
