Aiming to diversify its export oil basket, Iran will finish a crude blending project in the current fiscal year, to end March 20, 2018.
Announcing the news, CEO of Iran Oil Terminals Company Piruz Mousavi said when the project is accomplished, it can correct the company’s international image, the National Iranian Oil Company reported April 24.
Last June, Iran announced it was preparing to produce blended oil based on the necessities of the foreign refineries for a specific type of oil.
Mousavi said at that time that Iran was going to start a joint project with a European company in the country’s oil terminals to blend various types of crude and produce specific oil based on the clients’ demands.
