The Germany company Drägerwerk, producer of the Dräger brand of industrial equipment, has been successful in regaining its old market in Iran after the lifting of sanctions off the Islamic Republic.

“Since 1.5 years ago when sanctions on Iran were lifted, we have managed quite successfully to regain our past market and attract our former customers,” Mohammad Abdoljabbari, industrial sales engineer at the local branch of Drägerwerk told Trend May 8.

“Our business was in pretty bad shape during the sanctions, the oil and gas industries were under sanctions, our customers were unable to work and we could not supply them,” he noted.

The company’s Iran branch has been running for about 30 years. It provides equipment especially to the oil-rich country’s oil industries.

Sanctions against Iran reached their all-time biggest damage level to the Islamic Republic, when the EU, US, and UN each slapped their own sets of embargos on Iran.

The sanctions were removed in January 2016 following the landmark nuclear deal called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Tehran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Germany, Russia, and China).
