The cumulative output of the oil layer of Iran's South Pars field has reached 1 million barrels, SHANA news agency reported May 14.
The source added that the second oil shipment from this field will be loaded by May 20.
The first shipment was loaded in mid-March and counted for 611,000 of crude oil.
The tentative oil extraction from this layer started March 19. The layer was officially inaugurated a month later.
The South Pars oil layer is shared between Iran and Qatar. Its in-situ oil is said to stand somewhere between 1.5 billion and 4 billion barrels.
