Iran’s automotive firm, Siemens sign co-op deal

The Iranian TAM Iran Khodro company and Germany’s Siemens signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation.

Under the document, the two sides will use each other capacities in areas of marketing and participation in tenders as well as design, supply, installation and implementation of projects as strategic partners, ISNA news agency reported May 28.

The target markets for this cooperation are the automotive, mining, oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

The document also envisages transfer of the technology into Iran in the cooperation areas.

The MoU will pave the path for TAM Iran Khodro to be certified as “Siemens Solution Partner.”

TAM Iran Khodro is an engineering (EPC) service company active in automotive, mine and rail as well as oil, gas and power industries.
