The visiting European Union's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, IRINN channel reported.
Zarif said that Iran will only accept a solution that is respectful, expressing hope that the two sides reach an agreement in the next four or five months.
"Iran has shown good will and it is up to other side to fulfill its commitment, "he added.
"Iran is determined to reach a nuclear agreement," he said.
Iranian foreign minister also stressed that his country has no intention to seek a nuclear weapon.
Ashton, for her part, said that there is no guarantee of final Iran nuclear accord.
"We talked about the move forward," she explained.
Arriving in Tehran on the International Women's Day, Ashton said that it is a great privilege to meet Iranian women.
Ashton arrived in Tehran on Saturday for an official visit.
Ashton is also scheduled to meet with President Hassan Rouhani and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
Iran's nuclear energy program as well as relations with the European Union will be at the heart of the talks.
