Najafi: Next round of Iran-agency talks in Tehran late April

Iran's Permanent Ambassador to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Reza Najafi said here on Monday that the next round of Iran-IAEA talks will be held in Tehran during the last week of April, IRNA reported.

Najafi, who was speaking with the press at the end of the Iran-agency's Monday negotiations, said that the late April meeting was arranged during the Munich meeting of Foreign Minister, Mohammad-Javad Zarif, and the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano and further confirmed in Amano's meeting with Seyyed Mahdi Araqchi in Vienna.

'The main axis of the meeting will be the remaining two acts within the Iran-agency Joint Plan of Action,' he said.

The Iranian envoy to the UN nuclear watchdog said that in Monday session it was agreed that Iran will keep on cooperating with the agency and ways for accelerating this bilateral cooperation, too, were surveyed.

'Today's session was a quite serious one in which technical talks were held and the other's side's attitude showed that they have a resolute will for cooperation and achieving greater progress in the future,' he said.

In their previous visit of Tehran the IAEA delegation held talks with the Managing Director of the Political Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hamid Ba'eidinezhad and Reza Najafi, as well as the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization officials.
