By Khalid Kazimov - Trend:

Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) started another round of talks on Tehran's nuclear program.

The parties are to reach a political understanding on the case by the end of the day March 31, to pave the way for a comprehensive deal by the July 1 deadline.

The foreign ministers of the attending countries, except for Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, started their meeting early this morning, Fars news agency reported March 31.

Russia is represented in the session by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

The six major powers are attempting to limit Iran's nuclear activities beyond the requirements of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Tehran, in return, demands the removal of all international sanctions on its economy.
