The Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has invited Iran's nuclear negotiators to attend one of the its sessions in order to provide reports on the recent Lausanne agreement.

Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, the commission's spokesman, said that the commission has sent a letter to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who headed the negotiators, to attend the session, Tasnim news agency reported April 4.

He pointed out that an exact date for the session has yet been decided on, adding that it would be the choice of the foreign minister which day to choose for the meeting.

He said that only Zarif has been invited to the session, but nonetheless noted that Zarif usually makes use of a couple of assistants in such meetings.

Iran and world powers reached a framework agreement on April 2 on curbing Iran's nuclear program for at least a decade.

According to a joint announcement, Iran will have only one uranium enrichment plant, Natanz. Also Iran will change the Fordo uranium enrichment plant to a nuclear research site. Iran will also change the design of Arak heavy water plant to make less plutonium and the International Atomic Energy Agency will have more access to Iran's nuclear facilities.

In exchange, the EU and the US will halt their sanctions on Iran after reaching a comprehensive nuclear deal (expected to be achieved by June 30).
