Iranian nuclear negotiator Hamid Baidinejad has said the Islamic Republic will pursue nuclear fusion technology after a prospective nuclear agreement with world powers.

We will not base our negotiations on trust, he asserted, pointing to the ongoing nuclear talks, Fars news agency reported April 13.

Nuclear fusion is a nuclear reaction in which two or more atomic nucleic collide at a very high speed and join to form a new type of atomic nucleus.

Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached a framework agreement on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program on April 2.

They have decided to strike a comprehensive deal by June 30.

On the first day the comprehensive agreement is implemented, the entire European Union sanctions, those of the United States, and sanctions that were imposed through UN Security Council resolutions will be lifted, Baidinejad asserted.
