Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) will start drafting a final agreement on the country's nuclear program on April 29.

Zarif made the statement while in New York to attend the 2015 Review Conference of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, IRIB news agency reported April 28.

The Iranian diplomat also commented on his meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry, which the two held on the sidelines of the conference. He said the sides have agreed to use all capacities and time to work on the agreement.

He further stated that after the present round of sessions in the US, the attending parties would continue talks on the nuclear agreement in Europe in the weeks to follow.

Zarif said that the American side of the negotiations has pledged that the US will be bound to any agreement that will come out of the talks. This came as an answer to concerns whether the US government is limited by domestic entities in its deal with Iran.

US senators have recently been demanding a say on the final agreement with Iran. However, the US negotiators and the Iranian side do not favor that.

Asked why Kerry has paid a visit to where the Iranian team is staying during the NPT review conference, the top Islamic Republic diplomat said that Tehran and Washington had agreed beforehand that they would meet a couple of times on the sidelines of the conference to address the Iranian case.

Iran and the six powers are expected to reach a comprehensive deal on Tehran 's nuclear program by June 30. The deal would limit Iran 's nuclear activities for a period of 10 years, and in return it would remove international sanctions on the country's economy.
