Iran says nuclear team to comply with supreme leader’s framework

Tehran, Iran, June 27

By Temkin Jafarov, Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:

The Iranian nuclear team will not act beyond the framework laid by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, an Iranian MP says.

The West has introduced some issues and Iran has done the same on its side of the negotiations, MP Esmail Kowsari told Trend June 27.

The things are very clear-cut and obvious, therefore, the nuclear negotiation team will painstakingly follow the framework and will eventually reach an agreement with the West within this framework, he asserted.

"It is obvious that there are some problems which must be resolved through talks. Otherwise, neither the government nor the Iranian nation will agree to anything outside the framework. Therefore, we must move within the framework outlined by the supreme leader," Kowsari reiterated.

"Naturally it cannot be the Western countries which decide everything. They have some demands and we have other demands. We are one side of the talks and they must consider our demands," he stated.

Iran and the P5+1(the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached framework nuclear deal in the Swiss city of Lausanne on April 2.

However Araqchi said June 27 that some parts of the solutions reached in Lausanne deal are not feasible without specifying the parts.

After Lausanne talks, some P5+1 countries made some comments showing a change in their earlier stances, this has made the job a little difficult, he said.

Iran's foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Vienna on June 27 to attend Iran's nuclear talks with the P5+1 group.
