A delegation of five representatives from the International Atomic Energy Agency is in Tehran to arrange things with the Iranian government before a comprehensive nuclear deal.

The delegation visited Tehran in the early hours of the morning, Mehr news agency reported July 6.

The team is going to hold meetings with officials from Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Iran's Permanent Ambassador to the IAEA Reza Najafi, as well as high-ranking officials from the Supreme National Security Council.

They are going to settle the details of previous arrangements agreed between Tehran and IAEA Secretary General Yukiya Amano during Amano's trip to Tehran earlier the week.

Iran is in intense talks in the final days remaining to a comprehensive nuclear agreement with the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany).

A source close to the Iranian negotiation team in Vienna said the technical annex to the deal is 70 through.

The source said other annexes are roughly 90 percent through each.

He added there remain some controversial issues yet that the sides need to settle before making a deal.

The talks were given a July 30 deadline initially. As the sides failed to meet the deadline, they extended the negotiations for one more week. But on July 6 they gave it another extension of two days to settle the remaining conflicts by July 9.
