"Iran and the IAEA has taken an important stride in resolving the remaining issues by achieving a general understanding on timetable of joint cooperation," Behrouz Kamalvandi said at the end of the visit of the IAEA delegation to Iran.

"The visit of the IAEA delegation to Iran just few days after IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano's visit to the country shows strong will of the two sides to effectively boost their cooperation," he added.

Kamalvandi noted that the understanding achieved during the visit of IAEA's expert delegation to Iran which is all within national interests' framework and safety considerations based on the Islamic Republic's redlines will facilitate technical interaction between Iran and the IAEA.

The AEOI spokesman expressed the hope that the constructive cooperation between Iran and the IAEA would continue in the future, and voiced Islamic Republic of Iran's readiness to continue mutual cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog within the framework of the general regulations of the international body.
