The war shadow over Iran is gone thanks to the nuclear agreement, the country's president Hassan Rouhani said, during his speech in Iran's western city of Hamadan on Aug. 25, IRINN TV reported.

Rouhani pointed out that after 23 months of intensive nuclear talks, real security was returned to Iran and its people. He referred to removing the UN Security Council resolutions against Iran as a diplomatic victory of his office.

Iran's president went on to say that the "wrong, outrageous and human rights-violating resolutions" were abolished by the same structure that approved them in the first place.

Rouhani further said that according to the new UN Security Council resolution, all countries should spare no help to Iran in the area of nuclear technology.

After several months of talks, on July 14, Iran and the P5+1 (US, Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) announced a final accord, curbing Iran 's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions. Following the deal, members of the UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution on July 20, endorsing the deal.

Rouhani also said that Iran's uranium enrichment right is stabilized in the new resolution.

"Today Iran's peaceful side is introduced to the global community, more than during any other time in the past," he said, adding that the Iranian people will witness rapid movement towards real progress in the coming months."

He also underlined that his administration has achieved its economic goals even under the sanctions' pressure.
