Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has kicked off his third round of regional trips after the nuclear deal between the Islamic Republic and the world powers.

Zarif traveled to Tunisia on August 31, Iran's IRNA news agency reported. His next destination after Tunisia is Algeria.

Prior to that, the Iranian minister had visited Lebanon, Syria, India, Pakistan, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq.

On July 14, Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached an agreement to end a long dispute over Iran's nuclear program.

The six powers accused Iran of running a nuclear bomb program, but Tehran denied the claims.

Through the deal, Iran has agreed to limit its nuclear activities in return for the removal of economic sanctions.
