Through dialogue Iran led the US Congress to disagreement for the first time in the US history, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hamid Baidinejad said.

"This is the first time the US president stands up against the Congress and Senate and says if they disagree he will veto it," Baidinejad said.

He added that as a result of the Iran nuclear deal, relations between the US and Israel have also grown dark, IRNA news agency reported September 2.

Baidinejad then commented on the topic of uranium enrichment discussed during the nuclear talks.

The US would not even let it allies enrich uranium, as witnessed by the fact that they did not allow the Iranian previous regime, who was their regional ally, do so, the diplomat observed.

Commenting on the Arak heavy water reactor, Baidinejad said Iran has proposed a new generation of reactors for this facility that is unprecedented in the world.

"Heavy water produces a lot of plutonium which can be used in making atomic bombs... They (the P5+1 including US, UK, France, Germany , Russia and China) would say Iran had to change the facility into light water if the nuclear talks were to bear fruit. But told them we would redesign the reactor so that it remains heavy-water but produces less plutonium. First, their experts said it was impossible and Iran did not have the ability. But after we gave them our plan and discussed it for some 400 hours, they were convinced that it was doable and that Iranians had proposed a new kind of heavy-water reactors," the Iranian diplomat explained.

BaidiNejad was a member of the Iranian nuclear negotiation team. The talks led to a comprehensive deal, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA, on July 14. The deal limits Iran 's nuclear program in return for removing international economic sanctions on Iran.
