The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iranian officials gathered in Vienna to discuss the latest developments in the Islamic Republic's nuclear case, Iran's state IRINN TV reported Nov. 24.

The meeting which started at 10:00 local time (GMT+1) comes prior to the release of a final report from IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano on the possible military dimension (PMD) of Iran's nuclear program.

Iran's ambassador to the IAEA, Reza Najafi said that Iran fulfilled its commitments under a road map, signed with the IAEA on July 14, and the today meeting is aimed to review and conclude all issues before the IAEA releases its final report.

Najafi, who heads Iran's expert delegation in the ongoing talks said that the UN nuclear watchdog will release its report on Dec. 1.

Iran's deputy foreign minister and senior nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi also is scheduled to hold a meeting with Amano Nov. 24 evening to discuss the road map and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) implementation.

The IAEA Board of Governors is expected to present a resolution on December 15 calling for an end to the PMD case.

Iran and the P5+1 (the United States, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany) announced a final accord, dubbed the JCPOA, curbing Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions against Tehran.

The IAEA has been given the role of verifying Iran's commitments under the lasting nuclear deal.
