Iran, P5+1 to meet in two weeks

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs Abbas Araqchi said Tuesday the next meeting of the joint commission with P5+1 group of world powers on implementation of the nuclear agreement will convene here on December 7, IRNA reported.

Speaking to IRNA, Araqchi who is also chairman of Iran's Follow-up Committee on Implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) said the date and venue of next round of talks were decided during a meeting with EU Deputy Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmid.

Araqchi and Schmid met here on Tuesday to discuss enforcement of the nuclear deal including the measures to be taken by the European side to the agreement which was reached last July with P5+1.

'We had satisfactory talks in which the procedure for implementation of JCPOA was reviewed,' he added.

Araqachi left Vienna for Tehran later in the day after holding separate meetings with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano and veteran US diplomat Stephen Mull on JCPOA's implementation.
