Iran's senior member of nuclear negotiation team said that most of the way to reach an understanding has been paved and if the western side has good faith to reach a mutually accepted agreement, the situation is ready more than any other time, IRNA reported.

Deputy Foreign Minister in Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi, in a meeting with Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli, here on Wednesday afternoon expounded on principled stances of Iran concerning Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

He underlined that after several months of intensive talks about technical and complicated issues, most of the way to reach an agreement has been paved.

The Italian senior diplomat, by expressing pleasure with achieved progress in the nuclear talks between Iran and Group 5+1, said that nuclear talks showed that dialogue could be an appropriate model for mutual cooperation in international and regional issues.

He called current nuclear talks as a historical opportunity to access a comprehensive agreement, adding that reaching such an agreement is very important.

Lapo Pistelli also met with Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian here and exchanged views and discussed the latest developments in the region and necessity to fight against terrorism in the region.
