The Islamic Republic supports the entire Muslim world in their fight against terrorism, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said.
"Iran as a regional power will support all Muslim nations who are standing against terrorism, extremism and violence from Gaza, Damascus and Mosul to Afghanistan and Pakistan," Rouhani said, the Iranian State IRINN TV reported Jan. 7.
The Iranian president made the remarks while addressing to the inaugural session of the 28th international Conference on Islamic Unity in Tehran.
Iran defends all Muslims who are fighting against the "usurpers" for liberation of their lands, Rouhani said. He also declared that the Islamic world to be united, "unity requires patience, tolerance and recognizing each other."
"Unity is materialized when we consider the destruction of Allepo, Mosul and Lebanon as destruction of Riyadh, Jordan and Pakistan," Rouhani underlined.
Rouhani said that certain Islamic states are silent about the destruction realized under the name of Islam, and some of them even are financing and arming terrorist groups. He also said that the Islamic countries should take practical cooperation to materialize the unity.
