Chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that excessive demands of the United States is a serious obstacle for any nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries.

"The transparency shown by Iran in the talks proves our honesty," he noted, Iran's Fars News Agency reported on Jan. 26.

He made the remarks at a meeting with visiting chairman of Georgia's parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs, Tedo Japaridze,

Boroujerdi also called for expansion of ties between the two countries.

"The strategic position of the two countries helps them boost their bilateral ties," he noted.

Japaridze, for his part, said that the two sides should continue their negotiations in different fields.

He further noted that the crisis in the region, endangers the peace and security of all regional countries.
