A range of issues, including combating terrorism were discussed during the meeting of Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli with his Tajik counterpart Ramazon Rakhimzoda in Tehran on Feb.19, IRNA news agency reported.

The sides had discussions on signing of memorandums of understanding on security, preventing and fighting organized crimes, terrorism, arms smuggling and money laundering, according to the report.

Iran and Tajikistan don't have common borders, but both are neighbors of Afghanistan.

Reportedly, the MoU on security was finalized for signing during the ministers' meeting.

It is expected that Rakhimzoda will meet with the head of Iran's police, General Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam.
