Three Iranian policemen were killed Thursday in Khuzestan province, which borders neighboring Iraq and the Gulf.
IRNA quoted the deputy of Police chief in Khuzestan Province Colonel Ranman Mousavi that unknown gunmen killed three Iranian polices in the city of Hamidiyyeh.
He said an investigation into the incident has started.
No group has taken responsibility for the assassination as yet.
