Secretary of the Iranian Supreme Council on National Security Ali Shamkhani said Iran has been the most successful country in containing terrorism.
It is a pity, however, that some Western countries and their regional allies did not pay attention to Iran 's recommendations against the formation of terrorist groups, whereby irremediable damage has been inflicted on regional countries, he said, Fars news agency reported April 28.
"Good terrorism, bad terrorism, and IS-style terrorism are all one thing; and one must not differentiate between them," Shamkhani asserted.
Iran claims to be the biggest victim of terrorism. In the past few months, extremist groups have conducted several attacks against local police offices to the east and west of the country.
In the most recent incident the rebel Baluchi group, Jaish al-Adl killed eight border guards near the border with Pakistan in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan on April 7.
"Hosham Azizi (Abu Hafs AlBalushi), the head of Ansar al-Forghan Movement terror group alongside his two accompaniers were killed in Sistan and Baluchistam," an Iranian official said April 23.
An official also confirmed that Mohammad Saeed Torkman Zehi, the second in command of the rebel Baluchi group Jaish al-Adl had been killed in Pakistan shortly before incident.
