Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister in African and Arab Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the Geneva talks on Yemen are going to resume.

The United Nations will hold the center in the talks, he said, Fars news agency reported June 22.

The Iranian official said the Yemeni crisis is solvable only through real political talks.

"The fact that Yemeni political parties and groups attended the Geneva talks proved that the Ansarullah and the whole genuine Yemeni groups endorse determined, realistic talks," he stated.

Amir Abdollahian went on to say that Iran continues to support measures aimed at stopping military aggression in the Arab country and end the humanitarian crisis.

" Iran continues its efforts to dispatch more food to Yemen via the UN and the Red Cross."

The previous round of Geneva talks on Yemen ended after four days on June 16 with no positive outcome.

Amir Abdollahian and Saudi Arabia's foreign minister, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir discussed the latest regional developments, including Yemen crisis in a meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia June 17.

Saudi Arabia and its allies accuse the Islamic Republic of supporting the Ansarullah Shiite group, something that Tehran denies.
