Leader acknowledges president, nuclear negotiators' services

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has expressed his high regard over endeavors of President Hassan Rouhani and the nuclear negotiations team saying reaching the conclusion in the talks was an important step, Irna reported.

In response to president's letter to the leader, Ayatollah Khamenei also cautioned that some members of the P5+1 group cannot be trusted at all and that measures have to be taken to stop the opposite party from breaking its promises, leader.ir website reported on Wednesday.

'With greetings and thanks over your numerous efforts. First, I deem it necessary to thank and appreciate the sustained and vigorous effort of the nuclear negotiations delegation and pray for the Almighty's grace on them,' the leader's letter read.

'Next, the reaching to conclusion in the talks is an important step. Nevertheless, it is imperative that the agreed text be taken notice with carefulness and that it be put on the anticipated legal procedure. And upon ratification, vigilance must be paid over opposite party's possible violation of promises which need to be obstructed.'

'We know it well that some of the six governments from the opposite party are by no means reliable,' Ayatollah Khamenei stressed.

'I trust that the respected nation will maintain solidarity and dignity so that national interests could be secured in a calm and wise atmosphere,' the letter said.

According to the leader's website which also carried full text of President Rouhani's letter, the president had thanked the Almighty Allah's grace, the Supreme Leader's guidance and Iranian nation's resilience over reaching a successful and dignified conclusion in the nuclear talks.

'We not only defeated the Iranophobia project, but in the process Iran's international status was upgraded to the extent that global community is keen on entering into negotiations and cooperation with Iran in various fields,' read the letter to the leader.

'It goes without doubt that to reach next phases in the march and for execution of different phases of the agreement upto reaching every demands of the nation and lifting of all oppressive sanctions, there is a need to unity, internal solidarity, resilience, resistance and prudent action under your esteemed leadership,' wrote President Rouhani.
